Italy - Road blockades

The designated operator of Italy, Poste Italiane, wishes to inform Union member countries and their designated operators that, as of 16 October 2026, road blockades are taking place in the southern Italian regions of Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Puglia and Sicily, as part of protests against rising fuel costs.   Therefore, although Poste Italiane has already implemented all necessary measures to mitigate any potential disruption, delays may occur in the collection and delivery of both domestic and international shipments.   Poste Italiane thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding and will provide further updates via EmIS as the situation evolves.
